Gleaning opportunity at Miller Farms in Clinton, MD

Hi All

Over the last 8 weeks we have had from 140,000 and 160,000 pounds of Sweet Potatoes to feed people in the Washington DC and Baltimore areas. We still have 22 bins at about 1100 pounds each. We will be gleaning them on Tuesday March 25 at 8:30 a.m.

On Thursday the 27th and Saturday the 29th we will be going into the field to harvest Greens. We will be meeting at Miller Farms in Clinton, MD at 8:30 AM. Miller Farms is located at 10200 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD 20735.

Make sure you check out our voice message line at (703) 370-0155 for the most up to date information available. My hope is that those in the area will be able to get involved with us at a future glean.

We are feeding many people with the food we glean and are hoping you will get involved with us. We are in need of volunteers of all kinds both at gleans, in our warehouse, and in our office. We are also in need of financial support. We can feed people with the produce we get for as little as 10 to 15 cents per pound. As always we need prayer and lots of it.

Blessings,

Garrett

  1. You are right. “Being there” both physically and emotionally is so important for both our partners and children. Being connected and obedient to God is the other side of the coin.
